Life in Gaza was stressful enough before Yosi's brother Barry suddenly shows up from America and stubbornly defends the Palestinian side of the conflict, even after seeing how they've been reduced to living, and other family members are threatened by nearby bombings. Yosi tries to get to him to see the beauty of life in Israel and forgive him for leaving America. But when Barry reveals his own life has been struck by violence and tragedy, and his niece Rachel's fiance is kidnapped mere weeks before he was to finish serving in the army, the family must pull together and find the forgiveness and love to pull through.

Role

Rachel ~ Born and raised in Israel, it is her home and her pride and joy, though she has many complicated feelings about it. She is very close to her family, but having found the man of her dreams, and being a musical prodigy, she desperately longs to move to America herself and pursue her dreams there. She is desperately frustrated with the situation in Gaza, and having witnessed the deaths of some close friends in the army make her a passionate advocate for the Israeli side of the conflict. She is furious at her uncle for judging their family, though she is quick to judge herself. She is intelligent and proud, with a fierce temper, but an even fiercer heart.
